Livingston Tournaments
Tournaments are hosted by Max Farberov, National Master, Life Master, and USCF Tournament Director, and Seun Bisiriyu, FIDE National Arbiter, and USCF Tournament Director.
The Tournaments are open to all, not only to our students.
Friday Games Sessions
To give students a low-pressure tournament experience, we offer weekly Friday Game Sessions from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Players are paired according to level (from B2 through FM) and get to practice key tournament skills—playing a variety of opponents, keeping notation, and using chess clocks.
Each session begins with a structured “mock tournament”, followed by game analysis and open play. Beyond skill-building, these evenings foster meaningful connections. Many students form long-term friendships through shared interests and real-life (not virtual) socializing.
