Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Oboe

We offer Private, Partner and Small Group lessons on woodwind instruments. We recommend to start not earlier than at 9 years or older. Teenagers and adults of any age are welcome.

Different students require different teaching approaches. Some students progress best with the peer interaction and class motivation when they have a partner. Other students prefer the focused concentration of an individual one on one lesson. Once a student is more advanced it will be necessary to take private lessons to master the advanced techniques of an instrument with individual attention. Partner and small group lessons are only given if students ages and levels are compatible, on teacher's discretion.

Out-of-school Auditions, Public Recitals and RCM and ABRSM exams

Our students participate in auditions, competitions and NYC recitals by Piano Teachers Society of America, Music Educators Association, Golden Key Festival, MusikFest, American Fine Arts Festival. It's completely optional - discuss this with your teacher.

For an adequate prepartion time  that includes a choice of repertory and solid technical foundation, the teacher has to be notified not less than 6 months ahead before the audition date.

To prepare for out-of-school auditions, competitions and recitals, the students are required to sign up for 60-min weekly or twice a week 30-min lessons ; for ages 5-7 required minimum time is 45-min a week, but two 30-min lessons a week are recommended. Students who attend 30-min. once a week do not have sufficient time to get ready for this kind of performances.

Since RCM and ABRSM exams include theory, ear-training and technique, minimum 60 min. a week (or 30-min twice a week) is required to get ready for these exams.
